Job Description

Nebula Automotive is looking for an experienced Application Software Developer specializing in Model Based Development (MBD) for automotive motor control applications. The role involves designing and implementing MCU application software using MATLAB/Simulink toolchains for electric mobility and motor control systems, working within a global engineering team supporting embedded and connected software products for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop application software using Model Based Development (MBD) methodology with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
  • Generate production embedded code using Embedded Coder and related code generation tools
  • Implement motor control algorithms for Induction motors and Permanent Magnet motors (SPM, IPM)
  • Design and implement Field Oriented Control (FOC) techniques and sensorless control strategies
  • Implement V/f control schemes for motor drive applications
  • Implement PWM techniques including SPWM and SVPWM
  • Develop MCU application software on Infineon TriCore processors and Texas Instruments DSPs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on electric mobility and motor control projects

Requirements

  • 3 to 8 years of experience in Model Based Development (MBD) within the automotive domain
  • Expertise in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and code generation tools such as Embedded Coder
  • Hands-on experience with motor control technologies for Induction and Permanent Magnet (SPM, IPM) motors
  • Experience with FOC control techniques, sensorless strategies, and V/f schemes
  • Experience implementing PWM techniques such as SPWM and SVPWM
  • Expertise in MCU application software development on Infineon TriCore processors and TI DSPs
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering or related field
