Job Description

Sun Technologies is hiring an experienced Full Stack Developer to join its engineering team in Bangalore, building and integrating developer portal and platform-engineering solutions. The role involves working on backend integrations across CI/CD, cloud, and infrastructure tooling, with strong ownership of API design and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Node.js and TypeScript
  • Build integrations with GitLab, Jenkins, Argo CD, Kubernetes, Terraform Cloud, or ServiceNow using Backstage backend connectors
  • Design and implement REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Implement OAuth2/OIDC authentication and RBAC/security controls
  • Work with PostgreSQL and other relational databases
  • Containerize and deploy Backstage services on Kubernetes

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full-stack development experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Experience with developer portal frameworks such as Port.io, Roadie.io, OpsLevel, or Atlassian Compass (preferred)
  • Experience building integrations using Backstage backend connectors
  • Solid understanding of REST/GraphQL API design
  • Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC authentication and RBAC/security concepts
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
  • Practical experience with containerization and Kubernetes deployment
