Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-throughput REST APIs and microservices using JDK 17 and Spring Boot
• Build modular, scalable, and responsive front-end UIs using React or Angular as a secondary stack
• Develop decoupled, real-time message architectures in a high-velocity event-driven environment using Kafka, MQ, or AWS (SNS, SQS)
• Manage and optimize cloud workloads using core AWS services (EC2, EKS, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, S3)
• Package and orchestrate applications via Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement or pilot Agentic Generative AI (GenAI) workflows and models via proof-of-concepts or direct platform integrations
• Enforce strict API Security frameworks (Authentication/Authorization) and automate enterprise software builds using Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of professional enterprise-scale software development
• Elite Java API development background using Java 17, Spring Boot, and robust API Security controls
• Strong foundational coding skills in React or Angular
• Hands-on implementation track record with streaming brokers (Kafka/MQ) and IaaS layers (AWS, EKS, Lambda)
• Hands-on exposure running PoCs or shipping features involving Agentic GenAI capabilities
• Prior Barclays experience highly preferred
