Job Description
Due to continued rapid growth, Noble Biomaterials, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to join our expanding team.
Join a team where your work matters.
At Noble Biomaterials, we engineer silver metallized fibers, fabrics, and foams that protect soldiers, support critical care, and enable performance across defense, medical, and consumer applications. As a Process Engineer, you'll design, develop, and optimize the manufacturing processes behind our antimicrobial, conductive, and EMF shielding products.
About the Role
You'll partner with R&D, Production, Engineering, and Quality to launch new products, scale up commercial processes, and continuously improve existing operations. The work spans the full process lifecycle: developing recipes, leading DOEs, troubleshooting production, qualifying new equipment, and maintaining compliance in our ISO 9001 certified operations.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for silver metallized fibers, fabrics, and foam products
- Develop and document process recipes, procedures, SOPs, BOMs, and routings
- Conduct process mapping, root cause analysis, and lead DOEs to drive data-driven decisions
- Analyze process data and KPIs to identify and execute improvements in cost, scrap, efficiency, quality, and performance
- Support new product scale-up, commercialization, and technology transfer from R&D to production
- Validate new equipment and support automation and process control initiatives
- Partner with suppliers and Quality to ensure raw material specifications and availability
- Train and mentor technicians and operators on process best practices
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma)
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Textile Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including DOE design and statistical analysis
- Effective technical writer and communicator
- Comfortable on the production floor in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment
Domain Experience
We're looking for depth in one or more of the following — not all three. Strength in any one area, combined with a willingness to learn the others, is what we need:
- Metal plating (silver, copper, or nickel) — electroless or electrolytic
- Textile or fiber manufacturing — yarn, knitting, fabric, or nonwovens
- Silver chemistry, antimicrobial formulation, or conductive materials
Nice to Have
- JMP, SPC (InfinityQS), or similar statistical tools
- QAD or other ERP experience
- Six Sigma certification, PMP, or 5S training
- Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, or AS9100 regulated environments
What You’ll Get:
- Starting Salary: $58,500-76,000 annually.
- Weekly Pay – Get Paid Every Thursday!
- Full Benefits Starting the 1st of the Month After Hire!
- Medical, Dental, Vision
- $2,000–$4,000 Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)
- An account that is funded by the company to cover a portion of the in-network deductible for you and your family. (debit card)
- Company-Paid Life, Short & Long-Term Disability
- FSA, Voluntary Insurance Options
- 401(k) + Company Match (after 6 months)
- 11 Paid Holidays + PTO
