Job Description
The Senior Accountant supports corporate accounting and reporting activities at the parent company level, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. This role is responsible for technical accounting support, treasury management and cash oversight, debt service accounting (including multi-tranche debt structures), insurance administration support, and audit coordination across multiple entities. The Senior Accountant will also contribute to strengthening internal controls, improving accounting processes, and supporting a growing multi-entity environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Accounting
Support timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Assist with accounting research and documentation for complex transactions and new business activities.
Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain compliance and accuracy.
Prepare and/or review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, account analyses, and supporting schedules.
Support month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance review.
Treasury Management
Monitor cash flow and daily cash positions across corporate bank accounts and support cash forecasting activities.
Coordinate matters impacting cash flow and financial statements.
Support intercompany cash activity and ensure appropriate accounting treatment and documentation.
Monthly General Accounting
Maintain monthly recons and related journal entries for various balance sheets including prepaids, benefits, fixed assets, inventory, and AP.
Support the optimization of reconciliation schedules.
Debt Service & Accounting
Ensure timely and accurate processing, tracking, and accounting for debt service payments.
Maintain debt-related schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for reporting and audit purposes.
Support accounting and reporting for multi-tranche debt structures, including tracking terms, amortization schedules, and related disclosures.
Assist with the preparation and review of debt-related journal entries, interest accruals, and debt compliance reporting.
Audit Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate audit support activities, including preparing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring timely delivery of documentation.
Assist with compliance support and reporting needs
Insurance Administration Support
Support corporate insurance activities, including maintaining schedules, tracking renewals, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external brokers.
Assist with accounting for insurance-related transactions (prepaids, accruals, allocations).
Process Improvement & Special Projects
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting efficiency.
Troubleshoot accounting issues, resolve discrepancies, and support cross-functional problem solving.
Support special projects and initiatives, including multi-entity reporting improvements and integration support as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor�s degree in accounting or finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience (multi-entity experience strongly preferred)
Experience supporting debt accounting, including multi-tranche debt structures
Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting fundamentals
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work effectively across teams
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with sound judgment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA and/or MBA
Experience with treasury functions, cash forecasting, and debt accounting
Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
Experience in a growing, multi-entity environment (including acquisitions/integration support)
Familiarity with Sage Intacct� or comparable enterprise accounting systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Mobility: Requires the ability to move throughout office environments and travel to various work locations. May involve walking, standing, and navigating different workspaces during onsite integration activities.
Working Conditions: Primarily performed in a standard office setting.
Personal Protective Gear: Not typically required. May be necessary when visiting certain operational sites, subject to local safety protocols and requirements.
Extended Sitting or Standing: Frequent sitting for extended periods during meetings, planning sessions, and computer-based work.
Manual Dexterity: Regular use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment and digital tools.
