Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general ledger accounting, assisting with financial reporting, supporting audits, and improving accounting processes. This role will collaborate with the AP/AR teams The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Job Duties:
- Prepare and post general ledger journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce relevant reports
- Support the Controller during audits and budget cycles
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices
- Partner with AP/AR teams and provide guidance to improve workflow and accuracy
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Five plus years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing environment required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting required
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel required
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload effectively required
- Strong analytical and organizational skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines required
- Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
- Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 25 lbs or more required
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk for four plus hours at a time required
- Alignment with company core values required
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software preferred
- Public accounting/audit experience
