Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing journal entries, managing vendor and payroll entries, and meticulously performing account and bank reconciliations to resolve any discrepancies. You'll be instrumental in both supporting internal and external audits by preparing detailed documentation and driving adherence to all accounting standards and local compliances. Beyond the core accounting functions, this position plays a vital role in enhancing efficiency and control within the corporate accounting cycle. You'll proactively analyze general ledger accounts, identify and explain variances, and collaborate cross-functionally with various departments, including GL, Tax, Legal, and Treasury, to streamline financial processes. Furthermore, this role involves actively seeking out and implementing process improvements, maintaining robust internal controls, and contributing to the development of junior staff, as well as supporting broader finance initiatives and strategic projects. # What you will do - Engage in all financial processes and applicable internal controls, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 while remaining adaptable to evolving business needs. - Actively develops and shares best practices with the team, and understands and effectively documents revenue transactions, systems, and data flows. - Work closely and provide support to key business stakeholders and senior stakeholders, serving as a primary liaison between Revenue Accounting and technical partners, including Engineering, Product, Data, Financial Systems, and FP&A. - Foster deep cross-functional collaboration to recognize revenue for products and services and deliver innovative, scalable revenue solutions. - Have responsibility for the monthly close activities including complex journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue fluctuation analysis. - Help ensure that the business is maintaining an efficient use of resources and drive initiatives to optimize and shorten the month-end revenue close cycle. - Support business teams with analysis of revenue trends, forecasts and other performance performance (e.g., commissions analysis). - Holds the entire team to high standards, and pushes to make the team better constantly by driving accuracy and efficiency. - Will respectfully challenge others to drive results, streamline workflows, and provide appropriate support for views # What you will need - 6+ years experience in a similar role; CA or a CPA qualification will be a plus - Experience delivering reports to senior stakeholders is essential; - Engages and communicates effectively with colleagues, regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders - Good knowledge of US GAAP practises, internal controls and other risk capital management practices; - Excellent knowledge of data analysis and being comfortable with large datasets; - Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a complex global organisational environment; - Ability to work with multiple deadlines under pressure; and - Startup mindset- comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment ## Additional Information Rippling is an equal opportunity employer.
