The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making through reliable reporting and analysis.
This position is responsible for core accounting activities, including general ledger management, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting support.

### Accountabilities:
The Senior Corporate Accountant will support corporate accounting operations by ensuring financial records are accurate, timely, and aligned with accounting standards. The role combines technical accounting expertise, financial analysis, process improvement, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and record journal entries, including payroll entries, accruals, prepaids, and month-end adjustments.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain complete supporting documentation.
- Review general ledger activity to ensure transactions are properly recorded and compliant with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
- Prepare recurring financial reports and provide accurate information for leadership review.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice and payment reconciliations.
- Support audit activities by preparing schedules, documentation, and requested financial information.
- Partner with finance leadership on financial analysis, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and business partners while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Provide backup support for accounting team members as needed.
## Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment. This role requires someone who can work independently while effectively collaborating with finance teams and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting and month-end close responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, or financial controls is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience learning new financial systems or ERP platforms.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment using virtual collaboration tools.
- Experience working within a distributed or remote organization is preferred.
