Our IoT technology expertise serves a global ecosystem of 7,000 enterprise customers and 30 mobile network operator partners, and 90 million IoT devices across the world. Aeris powers today’s connected smart world with innovative technologies and borderless connectivity that simplify management, enhance security, optimize performance, and drive growth.
Aeris is looking for an experienced Release Manager to join our team. As a Release Manager at Aeris, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall quality of product releases. You will support teams from the beginning of PI (Program Increment) planning, providing mentorship throughout the development lifecycle. You will enforce release gates and oversee the entire release process to ensure releases are robust, risk-mitigated, and successful. This role is crucial in facilitating cross-functional team collaboration to achieve synchronized and cohesive product roll-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate releases by supporting PI planning, managing schedules, scope, and resources with project managers.
- Guide cross-functional teams (development, QA, ops, product) to ensure release readiness and adherence to release gates.
- Enforce quality standards through test quality gates, quality assessments, and clear release evaluations during go/no-go meetings.
- Identify and manage risks by spotting issues early, collaborating on mitigation plans, and maintaining release health.
- Maintain release documentation including notes, plans, and compliance with established policies and processes.
- Communicate with stakeholders by providing updates, managing expectations, and presenting release metrics and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement through CI/CD best practices, automation, and process optimization for greater efficiency and quality.
Minimum requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in release management, QA, software development, and risk mitigation with a strong focus on quality and delivery.
- Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies, with a proven ability to manage multiple releases in fast-paced environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience mentoring teams and ensuring adherence to quality gates and release readiness.
- Proficient in quality metrics (KPIs) and skilled in using dashboards and reports to present release performance and status effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field, with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, ITIL) supporting best practices.
Preferred requirements:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of ITIL practices or certification.
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), PI planning processes and execution
- Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques
