Job Description

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for our Civil/Site Department in Wall, NJ Responsibilities - Assist in the design and development of civil/site plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion & sediment control - Prepare construction documents, reports, and technical specifications - Perform site layout, stormwater management, and utility design calculations - Support the preparation of permit applications and regulatory submissions - Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines - Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation as needed - Review and interpret survey data, zoning requirements, and environmental constraints - Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field - 2–4 years of experience in civil/site design (land development experience preferred) - Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D - Familiarity with stormwater design and hydrology/hydraulics software (e.g., HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or similar) - Understanding of local permitting and regulatory processes - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment - Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or on track to obtain - Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment - Exposure to municipal, commercial, or residential land development project Benefits We understand that a fulfilling career is about more than just the work you do – it’s about feeling secure in your health, confident in your financial future, and balanced in your personal and professional life.
