Job Description
French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for our Electrical Department in Wall, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Experience or proficiency in the utilization of AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
- Revit BIM modeling experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
- Ability to work in a team environment or individually.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and pass a background check.
- BSEE from an accredited college or university.
- 2 years minimum experience in the design of Electrical systems.
- Ability to manage MEP projects is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
- Required Qualifications
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge of electrical and building codes and standards, including National Electrical NEC, NFPA-72, Energy Code, and International Building Code (IBC)
- Experience with fire alarm system design, lighting design, lighting control and building low voltage systems requirements
- Proficient and accurate in all areas of AutoCAD
- Experience with Revit MEP is preferred but not required
- Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design
- Sincere commitment to learning new skills and accepting new responsibilities
- EIT registration is preferred but not required

Compensation
The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.

Key Responsibilities
Design electrical systems and MEP projects
Apply knowledge of electrical and building codes including NEC, NFPA-72, Energy Code, and IBC
Design fire alarm systems, lighting, and low voltage systems
Utilize AutoCAD for accurate design documentation
Manage MEP projects and meet fast-paced deadlines
