Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java, Groovy, and Grails
• Build modern, responsive, and reusable UI components using React
• Own API design, data modeling, and module-level architecture
• Drive code quality through reviews, best practices, and technical mentorship
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, QA, and DevOps teams
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system reliability
• Leverage GitHub Copilot for rapid development, code refactoring, test case generation, and documentation
• Review and improve AI-generated code while promoting responsible AI usage within the engineering team

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in full-stack development
• Strong expertise in Java, Groovy, and Grails
• Advanced experience with React, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Strong understanding of System Design, Design Patterns, and Architecture Principles
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and Microservices
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) is a plus
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms is a plus
• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, observability, and production support is a plus
• Experience with automated testing, code quality checks, and deployment automation is a plus
• Understanding of scalable and highly available cloud-native architectures is a plus
• Strong ownership mindset and technical leadership capabilities
• Ability to mentor developers and drive engineering best practices
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
