Job Description
Onsite C2C contract opportunity for a Senior Software Developer (Python) supporting a project in Herndon, VA. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Ideal candidate has 10+ years of hands-on Python development experience across the full stack, with strong REST API, database, and containerization skills, and is comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services
- Build and maintain REST APIs
- Work with SQL and relational databases for data modeling and queries
- Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Develop and maintain front-end or full-stack components
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
- Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams on iterative development
- Support and deploy applications in Linux/Unix environments
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience
- Strong Python development expertise
- SQL & Relational Databases
- REST API Development
- Docker & Kubernetes
- Linux/Unix
- Git Version Control
- Front-End or Full-Stack Development
- Unit & Integration Testing
- Agile/Scrum Methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (USC only)
- Preferred: Experience supporting Federal, DoD, or Intelligence Community projects
- Preferred: Secure software development practices
- Preferred: Software architecture and Proof of Concept (POC) experience
