Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to design and develop mobile applications using Java and Kotlin. The role requires hands-on experience with the Android Architecture and SDK, strong understanding of the mobile application development lifecycle, and the ability to work independently building new applications from technical specifications. This is an onsite position in San Diego, CA for local, independent candidates only (no C2C); candidates must be a Green Card holder or U.S. Citizen. Interviews will be conducted via phone and video, and a LinkedIn profile is required to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop applications on the Android platform using Java and Kotlin
  • Implement communication with API servers via web services using JSON and XML
  • Independently develop and program new Android applications from technical specifications
  • Apply object-oriented design patterns and frameworks in application design
  • Explore and evaluate upcoming new features of the Android platform

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience designing and developing Android applications
  • Strong exposure to Android Architecture and SDK frameworks
  • Strong experience in the iPhone/Android/Mobile Application Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent programming and debugging skills in Mobile Java (Android/J2ME)
  • Basic/core Java and OOP knowledge with understanding of Java technologies
  • Good design skills based on object-oriented design patterns and frameworks
  • Must be a local candidate able to work onsite in San Diego, CA
  • Must be authorized to work as GC or USC only (no C2C, independent candidates only)
  • Active LinkedIn profile required
