# Business Development Representative
Location: Nashville, TN
Job Type: Full-Time | Field-Based
Compensation: $50,000+ Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

ACTS Fleet Maintenance helps commercial fleets stay productive, safe, and profitable through preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and fleet management solutions. We partner with businesses across the region to reduce downtime and keep operations running efficiently.
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to drive growth, build customer relationships, and expand our presence in the Nashville market.
## Position Summary
As a Business Development Representative, you will identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with fleet managers and business owners, and promote ACTS Fleet Maintenance's services and solutions. This field-based role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys relationship-building, prospecting, and helping customers solve operational challenges.
## Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies focused on customer acquisition and account development
- Prospect new business through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events
- Build relationships with fleet managers, transportation leaders, operations teams, and business owners
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and consultations
- Promote preventive maintenance programs, repair services, and fleet solutions
- Maintain ongoing customer communication and identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with operations and service teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Track sales activities, opportunities, and account growth using company systems
- Represent ACTS Fleet Maintenance with professionalism and integrity
- Travel throughout the assigned territory as needed (typically 1–2 days per week)
## Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to travel within assigned territory
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
## Preferred Qualifications
- B2B sales experience
- Experience in transportation, fleet maintenance, trucking, diesel repair, automotive services, or related industries
- Experience working with fleet managers, operations leaders, or transportation professionals
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance and fleet operations
