Job Description

• Support the manufacturing side of engineering and related items in maintenance of the product lines and engineering department. This person will acquire knowledge of various department operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflow to assist in the manufacture of PTFE, plastic, and rubber parts.
- Perform material testing as required.
- Train employees concerning materials/testing, testing equipment, and calibration requirements.
- Evaluate material test data and ensure data is available for internal and external customers.
- Develop and write procedures for material testing as assigned.
- Initiate studies for material in conjunction with internal requirements, external requirements, and problem solving.
- Provide design engineering support for customers, operations as required, including travel to customer facilities.
- Analyze existing production processes.
- Analyze product specifications.
- Support reverse engineering and manufacturing drawings.
- Develop and write management reports to inform the Plant Manager of the status of critical KPIs (internal documentation).
- Assist in developing strategic outsourcing options or insourcing options to help drive efficiency and overall profitability.
- Assist and support QA and HSE teams in driving overall quality improvements and safe work environments.

- Demonstrate technical and problem-solving abilities for manufacturing and process related problems utilizing engineering and scientific principles.
- Proficient at setting and achieving established goals.
Responsibilities may include:
- Troubleshoot equipment and processes and take corrective action, as necessary.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
- Specify and procure new equipment and implement new processes.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with other facilities within TSS.
- Operator training including new processes and machine operation.
- Troubleshoot equipment and processes and take corrective action, as necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of machines and production processes involved in PTFE, plastic, and rubber component manufacturing within TSS.
- Ability to improve efficiency of workflow by utilizing continuous improvement process.
Equipment/Machines/Tools Utilized.
- GibbsCam and Solid Works or equal, personal computers, various gauging tools, and hand tools.
- Test lab equipment.
- Microsoft Office programs.
- Programmable CMM
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Four-year degree – engineering or equivalent.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle dynamic workload and priorities.
- Knowledge of PTFE, plastic, and rubber materials, sealing system experience a plus.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and PLC programming.
