SUMMARY: The part-time Payroll & HR Coordinator supports the community by managing employee timekeeping & payroll and supporting the HR Director with benefits administration and other HR functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Maintains employee timekeeping data such as hours worked and non-worked using the KRONOS timekeeping system. - Provides excellent customer service to all to come to the HR office - Reviews hours computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll. - Prepares periodic reports as needed by department supervisor or Executive Director of earnings, hours worked, sick days, vacation days. - Makes themselves available to answer employee questions and or concerns regarding their paycheck and benefits. - Maintains paper and electronic personnel files in compliance with company policy and labor law requirements. - Assists in the new hire process for staff including pre-employment screening, orientation and processing new hire paperwork. - Spearheads the community-wide Wellness Committee to come up with fun and engaging wellness initiatives for our staff. - Administer benefit plans for Health, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D, and Long Term Disability Plans. Reconciles monthly billings, verifies eligibility and processes new enrollments and terminations. - Supports HR Director with Employee appreciation events. - Assist with creating creative, informative, and inviting flyers and presentation about upcoming events, wellness and safety initiatives, etc. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - One year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Ability to read and interpret documents, with attention to detail. - Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. - Strong ability to independently problem solve. - Must have good verbal and written communication and customer service skills; ability to work well with others and take direction; ability to work under pressure to ensure timely review, correction and reporting of payroll. - Bilingual highly preferred (English + Spanish). This position will work Monday through Friday and final schedule is up for discussion upon hire (32 hours a week). We offer a $250 sign-on bonus, PLUS a $600 retention bonus after completing a successful 6 months of employment! Final candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, physical abilities test, COVID-19 test, drug screen and Department of Justice Criminal background clearance.
