## Job Description
• Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
## Qualifications
- Perform structural analysis, calculations, and create design sketches and drawings that convey the arrangement and design intent for various transportation structures.
- Conduct engineering assessments and evaluations, both for existing structures and potential structural alternatives, and prepare technical reports to document the findings.
- Lead, supervise, guide, and mentor a team of engineers and CAD technicians engaged in delivering consultancy services for significant infrastructure and transportation projects in Malaysia and internationally.
- Engage in communication and collaboration with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory authorities, and other relevant parties to gather design information, present design alternatives, and expedite approvals.
- Cultivate and nurture client relationships to explore and expand business opportunities.
- Verify design calculations and review detailed drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Deliver projects of exceptional quality, meeting project timelines and budget constraints.
- Provide technical leadership and foster the development of technical skills and capabilities within the team, particularly in the design of underground structures, major infrastructure, and transportation projects.
- Enhance the organization's visibility by publishing technical papers and delivering technical presentations at seminars and conferences.
- As a Chartered civil engineer and technical lead, assume the role of a signing Professional Engineer (PE) for supervised design scopes.
- Act as the lead verifier for assigned projects
## Additional Information
- Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer with a Practicing Certificate.
- A cumulative experience of more than 12 years in structural design, particularly in underground, basement, heavy structures, and transportation-related projects.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, superiors, team members, and clients.
- Technical leadership expertise in soil-structure interaction and deep excavation works.
- Proven experience in leading teams of engineers and CAD technicians for the successful delivery of major infrastructure, transportation, basement, and underground projects.
- Prepared to undertake responsibilities for regional projects located outside Malaysia.
