Role description: The Intelligent Mobility Services (IMS) Team of Arcadis is currently searching for a Transportation Engineer, to join the Atlanta, GA team. As a Transportation Engineer, will assist in the development and design of infrastructure projects for highway/interstate resurfacing and striping as an embedded employee with the client. This person may also be required to perform different roles on multi-disciplined projects including technical design of minor project, production lead, task leader and assisting Project Manager and lead engineers. This role will sit within the larger Global Mobility Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods. Role accountabilities: Project development experience should include working as an individual or through team efforts to assist in developing project scopes and budgets, interfacing with and maintenance of client needs for the Project Manager, development of project resurfacing and striping plans and maintaining project schedules and ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis and Client practices including quality and safety standards. Interpersonal and client facing requirements will require someone with excellent, clear and concise, oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to contribute information to meetings, assist with effective client presentations and prepare written reports and meeting minutes. Must have the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously. Applicant should also have strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and be a self-motivated, team-oriented and flexible individual who possess the initiative and ability to tackle new projects, challenges, and concepts Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications: - 1+ years’ experience - Bachelor’s degree in civil Engineer or similar - Engineering experience with infrastructure design and construction engineering, which may include cost estimates, technical reports, construction/maintenance plans and project displays. - Proficiency with CAD particularly AutoCAD, Microstation, InRoads and CAiCE - Familiarity with GDOT design standards and policies. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $64,152 - $106,920. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
